DANA, William M. "Billy". In Dorchester, June 20th.
Billy was a retired printer for Stop & Shop Co. for over 36 years. He coached girl's softball for numerous teams, including for St. Ann's Parish and Archbishop Williams High School. Billy was especially proud of his Dorchester roots and enjoyed traveling to visit his many relatives in Ireland.
He is the beloved husband of Kathleen L. (Harold) Dana.
Loving father of Kathleen L. and her husband Derek Higgins of Weymouth and Maryann Dana of Dorchester.
Devoted "Papa" of Connor Dana Higgins.
Son of the late Charles E. Dana and Catherine L. (Green) Dana.
Brother of Mary L. Dana of Braintree, Joanne M. Rabs of Pembroke, and the late Charlene E. Gates.
Brother-in-law of Mary Ellen Dineen, Peggy Ashwell, Trisha LaPlume, and John Harold.
Nephew of James J. Green of Dorchester.
Survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Family and friends will honor and remember Billy's life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Monday, June 25, from 4-8 P.M.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mark Church on Tuesday morning at 10 A.M.
Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
