DURFEE, William E. "Billy" Sr.
Born January 8, 1934, of Dorchester, formerly of Roxbury, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 6th, age 78 years.
Beloved husband of Mary I. (Hartmann)Durfee.
Son of the late George and Marie (Hume) Durfee.
Loving father of William E. Durfee Jr. and his wife Karen of Braintree, Donna Monaghan Durfee of South Boston, Kenneth and his wife Christine Durfee of Lydonville, VT, Debra Durfee of Norwood, Darren Durfee of South Boston, and Michael Durfee of Dorchester.
Brother of the late Bernard Sr., George, Charles, Frederick, Virginia, Alfred, and John.
Survived by his siblings, Elizabeth, Hazel, Sandra, and Bernard Jr.
Cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren, and beloved great-grandfather of 13 great-grandchildren.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service in the Gilman Chapel at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams St., Dorchester, Saturday morning, March 10, at 10 A.M.

Billy was a proud veteran of the Korean War-U.S. Marine Corps and retired member of the Teamsters Local #379.
He was a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
He enjoyed spending time with his wonderful wife Mary and family.
