LYDON, William X. Of Dorchester and Hull, formerly of South Boston, November 13th. Beloved husband of Margaret T. (McCann). Loving father of Kathleen T. and her husband Lawrence G. O'Toole of ME, Marie A. and her husband Randall P. Gould of Hull, William X. Jr. and his wife Mary E. Lydon of CA, Kevin E. and his wife Jacqueline T. Lydon of East Bridgewater, Martin L. Lydon and his wife Karen Egan of Dorchester, Bernadette M. and her husband Paul F. McDonough of Hanson, Gerard T. and his wife Jeanne C. Lydon of Arlington, and the late Judge Leo J. Lydon. Brother of Margaret Ferris of ME, Barbara Johnson of Falmouth, Veronica McCabe of Centerville, and the late Mary LeClair, Anna Linskey, Thomas and John Lydon. Brother-in-law of Sr. Marie McCann CSJ and Dr. Paul C. and his wife Anne McCann. Survived by 24 grandchildren, and the late Leo F. Lydon, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, Thursday 6-8, Friday 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Mass in St. Gregory Church, Saturday morning, November 18, at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Decorated WWII Veteran - U.S. Navy. Late retired General Manager for the New Haven Railroad and AMTRAK for over 50 years.
